"When I read about the bond breastfeeding could create between two people I was envious," she told The Sun in a story printed by the New York Post.
The last time she gave birth was 20 years ago, but this mother has begun breastfeeding again. According to The Sun thirty-six-year-old Jennifer Mulford has taken time off from her job as a bartender to work on an Adult Breastfeeding Relationship (ABR).
Mulford was single when she came across a website about ABR.
She said: "When I read about the bond breastfeeding could create between two people I was envious." The Atlanta local began searching for interested men.
She used dating sites, Craigslist and posted on ABR forums, before finding a feeding buddy in an old boyfriend, Brad Leeson.
Discussing the idea together, Mulford says "It was like a light switch flicked in his head.
I could tell from his voice that he was curious and excited." Leeson researched the concept himself and the two quickly became more than friends.Mulford took Leeson's enthusiasm for ABR as a sign that he will be "a partner for life"."We both wanted the same thing out of the relationship - a magical bond that only breastfeeding can achieve."Continued below.Because Mulford hadn't breastfed for 20 years she induced lactation by dry-feeding and a two-hourly breast pump, for which she has taken time out from her job.She also drinks Mother's Milk Tea, a herbal drink said to imitate female hormones and increase milk supply. For Leeson, a self-confessed gym buff, he says he is excited by the health benefits he'll get from his partner's milk.
